I love getting vegetarian and vegan newsletters via the email. You see such interesting recipes and learn new cooking tricks to make putting a meal together a fun occasion. One of the newsletters that I receive is from Veg News, a vegan magazine that you can subscribe to and receive either by snail mail or by email. This is their latest article and I thought it was worth sharing because it connects you to other vegan blogs that are floating around out there in the ether. Warning! Surfing the net for new recipes is highly addictive and you can spend hours sitting at one time and then wonder where the time went! Have fun!
These recipes do not pretend to be low fat and “healthy.” They are definitely company or celebration food that you would not want to eat every day. But if we are honest with ourselves, there are very few of us who do not splurge once in awhile and want to eat something that is decadent. I’m sure that you will find a recipe that will catch your fancy. Here are the choices:
- Vegan Bacon Wrapped Scallops (made with mushrooms)
- Tater Tot Casserole
- Salted Chocoloate Peanut Butter Mousse Pie
- Deep Fried Vegan Mac and Cheese
- Buffalo Chikn Tarts
- Hot Carmelized Vegan Bacon-Onion Dip
- Vegan Red Velvet Pancakes with Coconut Cream and Berries
- Big Mac Steam-Baked Buns
- Vegan Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl
- Ricotta-Stuffed French Toast with Salted Butterscotch Sauce
- The Aurora Borealis (Vegan Grilled Cheese Sandwhich)
- Savory Pizza Donuts (Vegan and Gluten-free)
You can find all of these recipes by reading the Veg News Newsletter and following the links in the article. Sometimes the links take you to a Pinterest Page that features a picture of the recipe. To access the actual blog, look on the right hand side above the picture for the name of the blog and click on that. It will take you right to the recipe page. Thanks Veg News for taking saving us time and introducing us to a lot of bloggers that we may not have had an opportunity to find! http://vegnews.com/articles/page.do?pageId=5040&catId=2
